One&Only Le Saint Géran, Mauritius

Wow! We absolutely loved our stay here. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the service was amazing. The staff were all so friendly and polite and there whenever you needed them. The grounds and the pools are beautiful and well maintained and there are many activities to choose from, which can be easily booked via your personal host using WhatsApp (with generally good wifi connection throughout the resort). The nightly entertainment was great with the live band and the pianist in the speakeasy and we appreciated the cocktail reception event that was held. The breakfast buffet had so much variety it was hard to decide what to eat. Overall, a great stay and we will hopefully make it back for the hotel’s 50th anniversary! Our stay at this hotel was truly unforgettable, thanks to the exceptional team members who went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and happiness. Special thanks to Roshan, Andreas, Anu, Eric, Gangadin, Luxmi, Aldo, and Didier for their warmth, attentiveness, and incredible hospitality. Each interaction with them made us feel valued and welcomed. Every aspect of our stay was thoughtfully curated, making it a truly luxurious and relaxing getaway. The dining experience at La Terass and La Pointe was outstanding, with delicious food that delighted our taste buds every time. The ambiance and service further elevated the experience, leaving us feeling as if we were in paradise. There were a few areas for improvement: 1. While the staff’s warmth and courtesy shone brightly, the hotel itself lacked the authentic Mauritian cultural elements we experienced during our external tours. Adding more local influences in decor, music, or activities could enhance the connection to Mauritius. 2. The kids’ club was well-suited for younger children but offered little to engage older tweens and teens. Expanding programming for this age group would be a welcome addition. 3. The evening entertainment could benefit from incorporating more authentic Mauritian vibes, such as traditional music and dance, to immerse guests in the local culture. Despite these minor shortcomings, the genuine care and effort from the staff, along with the outstanding culinary and overall experience, made our stay incredibly memorable. This hotel truly excels in hospitality, and we would gladly return for another visit.

The hotel was perfect for a quiet relaxing holiday. The staff were excellent on all levels, the hosts were responsive on WhatsApp, the restaurant staff are hospitable and welcoming. I especially appreciate the restaurant staff one night who made me fresh lemongrass and ginger tea when they knew I had a sore throat. Facilities and staff were excellent for children especially my active 4 year old. Feeding the ducks and fish will remain one of the highlights of the vacation for my kids.. Food options in the breakfast and dinner buffet were excellent.

Facilities are great, almost includes all water sports. Room is big and clean with view of the sea front. Food are great! All staff are extremely friendly.
